Owner / President who brought Cougar Cutting, Inc. to Fort Myers, FL in 1981 remains fully involved in day to day operations while overseeing all divisions within Cougar. He has played a pivotal role in the success & growth of the company and continues to do so on a daily basis.
Andrew, who is 3rd generation member to the family business has been active in the business for over 13 years. He worked every summer thru high school as a laborer learning the ropes. After high school he then went on to play college baseball in Gainesville, FL. Following his stent in Gainesville he became more involved in the family business soon becoming a Project Manager. As the company continued to grow he began estimating and then turn-keying his own successful projects as an EPM. He continues to play a major role in day to day operations in all aspects of the company. Away from work Andrew enjoys fishing, golfing, sports, and of course the family BBQs.
Brandon, who is a 3rd generation member to the family business handles all day to day operations (dispatch & scheduling) for sawing and drilling. From 1997 until 2004 he would work summers learning the family business by sawing, pouring concrete, and operating equipment on regular basis. He then attended college to play baseball in north Georgia. When it became a reality that baseball wasn’t going to pay the bills, he came to work full time.
Hunter has been a leader in the South West Florida construction industry for 25 years. After Graduation from Florida State University in 1990, he was a project manager for one of the area’s top General Contractors before specializing in the concrete industry. Since 1998 he has worked in all methods of concrete construction from high rise place and finish, super flat floor projects, numerous big box / industrial / school tilt up projects, 10,000 sqft + custom homes to stadium and countless commercial projects. At Cougar, he heads up the vertical construction division of the company handling contract negotiations, preconstruction coordination, and executive management of this division.
Lance, who joined Cougar in 2014 as chief estimator is responsible for overseeing all vertical construction estimating. His experience reaches back to the early 90s where he began project managing and estimating small and large projects. Lance has estimated and managed project on a wide variety from Residential, Multifamily, Commercial. Education, Military, Airports, & Sewage/Water Treatment Plants to name a few. Past employment includes working for a General Contractor that at the time of employment was listed in the ENR top 100 and a Concrete Sub-Contractor that was performing $40-$60M in contract work yearly with over 250 employees.
David Beal, P.E.
David is engaged with each Roadway & Site Concrete project at every stage of Cougar’s involvement. Customer service, quality assurance and accountability are ensured by having a single point of contact with knowledge of a project from the beginning through successful completion. David’s responsibilities include preparation of estimates, contract procurement, project planning and pre-construction coordination, product quality control and assurance, project schedule, billing progress tracking and project close out.
Prior to joining Cougar Cutting, David attained 15 years of experience in Southwest Florida as a Consultant Civil Engineer / Project Manager on private land development projects and public utility & roadway projects.
David earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Massachusetts.
David is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida (P.E. Lic. No. 73967).
David currently serves as Vice President of the Southwest Florida Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Outside of work David enjoys spending time with family, home improvement projects, playing golf and is an avid sports fan, maintaining loyalty to the professional sports teams of his native Massachusetts.
Jeff, who is responsible for estimating and managing all concrete sawing / concrete demolition and core drilling projects. Jeff develops and maintains customer relations and is actively involved in the coordination and planning of projects during pre-construction. He also works closely with dispatch to make sure customer needs are met and on schedule. Before joining Cougar in Spring of 2014, Jeff was a divisional manager for a large general contractor in Pittsburgh, PA. and brings with him nearly 30 years of experience in the field of concrete sawing, core drilling and isolated concrete demolition.
Shari, who joined Cougar in 1981 has been an active participant in the growth of the business. Her day to day responsibilities cover: Office Manager, Accounts Receivables, Collections, Contract Processing and Billing.
Dawn joined Cougar Cutting in 2006 and is responsible for all accounting functions of the company including the production of monthly financial statements and job costing reports. She manages our financial operations and works closely with the administrative staff to fulfill the needs of both our customers and vendors. Dawn is a lifetime resident of Fort Myers and holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida.
Janet, who joined Cougar Cutting, Inc. in 2014, is responsible for human resources, workers compensation and payroll. She was previously a Payroll and Workers Compensation Specialist with a nationwide Professional Employers Organization (PEO) and Human Resources Associate with the largest ready mix and materials supplier in Southwest Florida. She has a Business Administration degree from Hodges University, a Fundamentals of Payroll Certification and OSHA General Industry Certification.
